4th IFK Western European Championships

The NKA – IFK Netherlands is pleased to invite you to the 4th IFK Western European Championships. This event will be held on April 6, 2025, in Zevenbergen, The Netherlands. We are honoured to host an international tournament in The Netherlands once again!

• Rules: The tournament will follow IFK kumite rules and is open to participants from all countries and organizations.

Spectator entrance fee: 25 euros
Spectator entrance fee (under 12 years old): 10 euros 

Coaching:
Teams with up to 4 fighters: 1 coach for free
Teams with 5 or more fighters: 2 coaches for free

Room Costs (per night, including breakfast and city tax):
Single room: 120 euros
Double room: 150 euros  

Reservations:
All reservations must be made through our organisation rather than directly with the hotel. Kindly email wec@nka-ifk.nl to secure your room. Due to limited availability, rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If the tournament hotel reaches full capacity, we will arrange accommodations at a nearby hotel for your convenience. 

Medical and Weigh-in:
All participants must provide a medical "fit for fight" letter from their doctor at the weigh-in. 

Note: Each fighter must have their own insurance. 

CATEGORIES 

1. Adult Categories:
Male: -70 kg / -80 kg / +80 kg
Female: -65 kg / +65 kg 

Bout Duration:
- Preliminary rounds: 2 minutes, 2 minutes, weight check (if the weight difference is 5 kg, or 8 kg in men's heavyweight, the lighter fighter wins), 2 minutes enchosen
- Final: 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 2 minutes enchosen 

Protection:
- Male: Groin guard, mouth guard (optional)
- Female: Shin and instep guards, breast protector (cups only), mouth guard (optional) 

2. Under 21 Categories:

Participants: 18, 19, or 20 years old on the day of the tournament
Male: -70 kg / -80 kg / +80 kg
Female: -65 kg / +65 kg

- Final: 2 minutes, 2 minutes, 2 minutes enchosen 

Protection:
- Boys: Shin and instep guards, groin guard, mouth guard (optional), headgear (optional)
- Girls: Shin and instep guards, breast protector (cups only), mouth guard (optional), headgear (optional)

Note: Categories may be combined if there are insufficient fighters.
