WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

BS Cup is a tournament for everyone – both experienced and inexperienced fighters.

• Classes for inexperienced fighters are reserved for fighters with very limited experience (maximum two tournaments prior to this event).
• Experienced fighters aged 18+ may compete in either Knock Down or Moderated Knock Down.
• Participants will be matched by grade, weight, experience, and age.
• Fighting classes will be created after registration closes.
• Minimum age for participation: 8 years.
• Only Moderated Knock Down is allowed for fighters under 18.
• Gloves are mandatory for fighters under 18 in classes without vest.
• There are no semi-contact classes.
• Separate classes for experienced and less experienced senior fighters.
• Fixed weight classes in Knock Down (additional classes may be added if needed).

Weight Rules

• Weight in Moderated Knock Down is measured with dogi.
  A deviation of more than 3 kg results in disqualification.
• In Knock Down, weight is measured without dogi and must match the fixed weight class.

CLASSES

Disciplines: Moderated Knock Down & Knock Down

Participants will be divided into classes based on:

• Grade
• Weight
• Experience
• Age

Competition format: Cup system — first match pairs fighters with similar experience.

Typically around 25 classes, including Senior 40+.

Knock Down Weight Classes

Men

• -70 kg
• 70–80 kg
• +80 kg
• Senior +40 (open)

Women

• -65 kg
• +65 kg
• Senior +40 (open)

Additional classes may be added depending on number of participants.

RULES

Moderated Knock Down

• Full contact to body and legs allowed.
• Only controlled (marked) kicks to the side of the head allowed.
• No full contact to head.
• No punches or front kicks to the head.
• Fighting time: 2 minutes, with possible extension:
  Over 16 years: +2 minutes
  Under 16 years: +1 minute
• If wearing vest, attacks outside vest area are not allowed.

Knock Down

Follows WKB International Knock Down rules, with one exception:

• Fighters must wear white shin/instep protection.

SCHEDULE

📅 Saturday, 11 April 2026

• Weigh-in: 07:30 – 09:00
  (Or Friday at 19:00)
• Competition starts approx.: 10:00

⚠️ Remember to bring medical certificate for weigh-in.

PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

Required for all:

• White shin guards
• Groin protector (men)
• White karate dogi

Additional rules:

• Women over 16 must wear chest protector
• Fighters under 18 must use helmet
• Fighters under 18 must use gloves in classes without vest
• Inexperienced fighters under 16 must use vest + helmet
• Fighters aged 14–15 (experienced) fight without vest
• Fighters under 14 must use vest + helmet

Participants must bring their own:

• Helmet
• Shin guards
• Groin protector
• Chest protector

Vests may be provided by the organizer, but bringing your own is recommended.
Mouthguard is optional but strongly recommended.

• Registration deadline: Thursday, 26 March 2026
• Registration must be done collectively by the club
• Payment required upon registration
• Late registrations will not be accepted
• Participation confirmed only after payment received

Age = age on competition day
Weight (Moderated Knock Down) = with dogi (max deviation 3 kg)
